Bruce grew up in Mankato and graduated from Gustavus Adolphus College.
His lifelong interest in investing and finance started as a young boy when his parents bought stock for their children. He followed his stocks closely and couldn’t wait to get his statements to see how the values of his positions had grown. It was like Christmas every quarter.
After college, he started in sales and at the age of 26, bought his first business, The Liquor Locker in Avon, MN. Working with his brother, they also bought a failing bar and opened a pizzeria. They built both into viable businesses and eventually sold them for a profit. Over the next two decades working in the liquor and food business, the two of them started three businesses from scratch while owning and operating a total of six. While others read about the challenges one faces and the satisfaction one gets from owning your own business, he lived it…and has had a rewarding 27-year career.
His success in business was due to honesty, dedication and hard work. Now as a part of the Diversified Wealth Management team, he puts those qualities to work for you. Bruce enjoys being active in his community. He’s been a parent helper in Cub and Boy Scouts and recently joined the Boy Scout Troop Advisory Committee. He has served as President of the Avon Lions Club and still organizes the annual Easter Egg Hunt. He also serves as an assistant basketball and baseball coach in area youth sports programs.
He lives south of Avon with his wife Ann and their three children.
